With so many new and buzzworthy restaurants in NYC, Hillary Clinton is among those who go to the same restaurant again and again and again.
On April 2, she and former President Bill Clinton were spotted dining at Flatiron restaurant Upland — an acclaimed restaurant from Stephen Starr and chef Justin Smillie.
“It was a great night welcoming President Clinton and Madam Secretary Clinton to Upland last night in New York,” Starr posted on Instagram.
This will make (at least) the third time the Clinton family has dined at the Italian hot spot. The former secretary of state dined at Upland just five weeks ago with daughter Chelsea, son-in-law Marc Mezvinsky, and media mogul Barry Diller.
When she walked in, the dining room reportedly gave her a standing ovation, according to the NY Post.
Luckily, some diners were quick with their phones.
Upland is also a favorite of President Barack Obama. The former president and first lady Michelle Obama had lunch with U2 frontman Bono back in March 2017. They dined in the private dining room downstairs.
