Chef Marcus Samuelsson and Ted Allen were among the celebrity chefs who celebrated Chris Santos, acclaimed restaurateur and judge on the Food Network’s CHOPPED, debut cookbook—SHARE: Delicious and Surprising Recipes to Pass Around Your Table from Grand Central Life & Style at Stanton Social.

SHARE serves up the unique communal dining that Santos has made his signature in his restaurants on the Lower East Side of New York City with The Stanton Social’s debut, eleven years ago, followed by Beauty & Essex in 2009 and VANDAL, which opened on the Bowery in January 2016. This cookbook offers over 100 extraordinary “big platter” recipes for his creative take on old school favorites, specifically made for family-style dining, as well as small plates that are fun to serve when entertaining.

To celebrate this milestone for Santos, a special menu of signature dishes from Stanton Social and the cookbook were served throughout the evening, including: Potato and Goat Cheese Pierogies, Crab cake corn dogs, Cobb salad bites, Chicken taquitos, Chicken Arepas, Crispy Hard Shell Fish Tacos, Kobe Sliders, Philly Sliders and Warm doughnuts. Guests enjoyed the night’s signature cocktail, La Presa, from Jägermeister and ended the night with a heartfelt speech from Santos and sweet surprise – a SHARE covered vanilla cake, enjoyed by all.
